Alani Scholl and Quincy Robinson are doing a little better every day. Close cousins in a tight family, these two children were hit by a car and left on the side of Devil’s Foot Road in North Kingstown last Sunday night. The accident happened while the two kids were walking from their mom and aunt’s separate apartments in Kingstown Crossings.
Mom to Alani and aunt to Quincy, Alice Scholl explained, “They are currently okay. Alani still can’t walk right and Quincy has staples and can’t walk for long periods of time.”

The Scholl family has lived in North Kingstown for three years and Alani attends Davisville Middle School. Just like all 12-year-olds, Alani adores being on her phone but hers was damaged from the accident. Alani turns 13 on August 2 and a new phone is at the top of her birthday wish list.
Quincy, 15, digs video games and spending time with his family. Both kids are fighting to fully recover. Their fun summer plans are derailed but the family is focusing on gratitude—and justice.
“We truly appreciate everything and my main concern is getting this person behind bars before they do it again,”
Mother and aunt Alice Shoff
The North Kingstown Police Department is investigating the crime.
